Trinitarianism is sometimes confused with Tritheism—three Gods, which is, in reality, polytheism. Interestingly, there are no direct references whatsoever, in Scripture, regarding a three-in-one divine Being; neither are the following phrases found therein: 'God the Son' or 'God the Holy Spirit'.

However we do find many references in Scripture for God the Father, the Son of God and the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ or Holy Spirit.

In Scripture, the individual person who is called God, in personal identity, is God the Father, the God and Father of Jesus Christ. The Son, in personal identity, is called the Son OF GOD (AKA: Jesus, Yeshua, the Christ, the Messiah, Michael, I AM). He is the only begotten of the Father, who was made or brought forth (not made of created material, but rather, made of eternal divine material, a part of God Himself) in the express image of His Father's person. God is the Father of Christ and Christ is the Son of God, a clear, yet plain, truth.

The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, the Comforter, the Omnipresent, the Eternal Spirit, the breath or life of God and the breath or life of Christ. The Holy Spirit is the omnipresent spiritual manifestation, the representative omnipresence, of God and His Son, which is manifested (a spiritual manifestation) throughout the universe. God, in His physical person, sits upon the throne of the universe and the Son, in His physical person, shares His Father's throne and intercedes for us in the heavenly sanctuary. In the universe of God there are but two divine Beings, God and His only begotten Son. The Holy Spirit is not "another divine Being," but rather it is the personal abiding presence, the divine omnipresence, of God the Father and His divine Son. The Holy Spirit is the "third person" manifestation of Their own spiritual (unseen, outside of a physical presence) representative energizing life-giving presence, which is the divine agency by which God and His Son dwell in the true believer and also bring immortal life to all creation throughout the universe. Scripture states, "The Lord is that Spirit" and "God sends the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father." God's Spirit dwells fully in His Son and through His Son, and in the name of His Son, this wonderful Spirit of Life dwells in us. The Holy Spirit is a divine person or personality, a divine agency or office, by which the Father and the Son dwell with us and in us in Spirit and in Truth.

On the throne of the universe sit two divine persons, God the Father and His only begotten, divine+human Son, God and the Lamb. The angels in heaven worship God and His Son. The unfallen worlds worship God and His Son.

The Holy Spirit is the personal holy divine LIFE, the spiritual life-giving abiding Presence, of God and His beloved only begotten Son, which is called the Omnipresent. This Holy Spirit that proceeds from God the Father to His beloved only begotten Son; and through His divine+human Son, being divested of the personality of humanity, this divine representative Spiritual Presence connects God and His beloved only begotten Son together in unity with all of the loyal and obedient created beings throughout the vast universe. The Holy Spirit makes us partakers of the diving nature, bringing to us the very life of God in Christ.

Mrs. Ellen G. White wrote, "We want the Holy Spirit, which is Jesus Christ." This is how we have "Christ in you, the hope of glory." This is the same Spirit of Christ that dwelt in the prophets of old.

God is a divine person and Christ is a divine person and a human person combined, He now, after His incarnation, possesses a dual nature, thus we have a "heavenly trio" of personalities. God the Father and His divine only begotten Son are one in nature, character and purpose. They are one in spirit, heart and character. Jesus stated, "I and My Father are one." They are one in Spirit and one in divinity or divine nature. Jesus is truly God in infinity (truly divine in His nature or essence), but not in personality. In personality, or physical presence, Jesus is now human, the Son of man, yet in His divine Spirit or nature He is truly God in infinity.

Mrs. Ellen G. White wrote, "A divine Spirit dwelt in a temple of flesh." This divine Spirit, which is the divine omnipresence of Jesus Christ, wants to dwell in your mind and heart also, in your flesh, to give you victory over sin and Satan, to give you life everlasting, to make you a partaker of the divine nature. He, by the agency of His own divine omnipresent Spirit, is knocking at the door of your heart, won't you let Him in today?

John 14:23

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

Romans 8:9

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”

1 Corinthians 15:45

“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening [life-giving] spirit.”

2 Corinthians 3:17

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

Galatians 2:20

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 4:6

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”

The term "heavenly trio," as opposed to the term "trinity," was coined in the late 1800's by God's humble servant, Mrs. Ellen G. White. Scripture presents to us One God, One Lord, and One Spirit–The Spirit of God and of Christ (the divine Life of God and His Son) (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 15:45; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Ephesians 2:18, 4:4-6; 1 John 4:3, 13). In Scripture, God is a person, not three persons. The Son is OF GOD, Begotten of the Father. The Holy Spirit is OF GOD and OF THE SON, for the Father and Son are one in Spirit, the Spirit being the representative, spiritual manifestation of their own divine omnipresence, called the "third person (omnipresence)" "of the Godhead (of divinity or the deity)."
